Ground – center – shield, for self care:
Ground: First you ground through the earth. Why? You can get your mind more clear. It’s easier to concentrate and to keep your focus. How do you ground? Here are a few examples:
-
-
- By walking around barefoot whenever possible.
- By working in the garden and putting your hands in the dirt.
- By playing with mud.
- By hugging a tree, if there’s one near you and if you feel confident enough to do that.
- Or you can sit in the grass, if that’s safe enough, close to where you live.
- Whatever works for you, just as long as you truly make contact with the earth.
-

Breathe like a tree: Run your energy up and down. Why? This helps you to clear and replenish your energyfield. How? Imagine for a few minutes that you are a tree. Stand tall, head held up high.
-
-
- First you connect with the earth.
- Your feet are the ‘roots in the earth’. Your head, shoulders and arms are the ‘branches with leaves’.
- With every breath you take, please imagine that you are pulling your breath in through your ‘roots’, deep from within the ground. So breathe in from within the earth.
- Then breathe out upwards through the highest point of your body, ‘the branches’, into the sky.
- After a while you reverse it. Then you connect with the sky.
- Imagine pulling your breath from above, by breathing in, and then sending it back into the earth, by breathing out.
- Put your arms up if you feel like it. You breathe in through your ‘branches and leaves’.
- Then breathe out downwards through your ‘roots’ and towards the earth.
- You can also imagine a cup in the area of your heart and fill this up while breathing. When you feel it’s overflowing you can stop. Or you can continue for as long as it feels good.

Call back energy fragments through time and space:
-
-
- Every time you interact with someone, you interchange energies. Every time you think of something or someone, you send some of your energy that way.
- By mentally and spiritually calling back all of your own energy, and releasing what is not yours, you energetically remove ties or chords that are no longer necessary or wanted. This diminishes further draining of energy through those cords.
- Affirmation: I call back all of my energy fragments through time and space.
-
Centering: This means consciously being present in your body. Tell yourself you feel yourself now in the spot behind your eyes and between your ears.

Shielding or Taking seniority back: This means claiming your own energy field back as yours:
-
- Recognize what is yours and what isn’t. When you feel weird or unsettled suddenly, then please ask yourself: ‘Is this my own energy or not?’
- If it isn’t and you get aware of this, the energy will immediately be gone, released from your attachment.
- Taking seniority back also means that you energetically outline what your space is. To do this you can put an object or barrier in between when you interact with others.
-
- This object or barrier is programmed by you with intention, to only let positive or neutral energy through.
- This object can for instance be an energetic rose. So an imaginary rose. Put it between you and the other. This rose will attract all negative energy that comes your way. Nothing reaches you, just the rose. When you sense it is saturated or full, then you bring it outside of your energy or aura and let it explode. All that unwanted energy will then return to the universe.
- The barrier can for instance be a golden bubble or a golden egg. Imagine this egg or bubble all around you, don’t forget the part that might be underground. It reflects like a mirror, sending back the energy that you don’t want or need.
-
After feeling depleted: Get your vibes up by loving yourself. Be kind to yourself. Observe thoughts and emotions, see from a distance or different perspective. Meditate. Set intention to open yourself up for inner guidance and support to love yourself. Ask yourself questions. What are the things that you love to do? What can give you childlike excitement? Laughing, playing, dancing, anything that brings you joy. All of these things might help.
Loving yourself: Do things you love. Listen to music that comforts you. Go into nature. Enjoy the little things. See the humor in things. Be playful. Take inspired action. Acknowledge the feelings of the moment: this can make you feel connected again, like you are not alone.

Shield: See the ‘not-so-great circumstances’ in the now and the ‘reactions of others’ for what they are. You accept what is yours, to learn from. You observe and reject what is not yours. You let through the positive and the neutral, that’s coming to you. And deflect all that is negative.
Meditate: Focus on breathing to start with, see what comes up. Don’t use force, try to observe only and feel. There’s so much said and written on meditation already that I don’t want to get in deep here.
