What to do if you can’t visualize?

There are so many ways to practice envisioning, if visualization is not your thing. Here are some ideas:

  • You can use words, create affirmations or spells, for a specific situation or even for a core value. Example: I will do what’s necessary to be healthy, happy and strong. And you could add: So shall it be/ Amen/ In sha’Allah (or add your own personalized ending, if you feel it’s applicable, if not just leave it out).
  • You can make your own symbols or sygils. How? By using material from nature: like stones, shells, leaves, small branches which are already on the floor. Or with sand on the pavement, or on the beach. You can also make up your own symbol or combine existing runes or symbols. Then assign your own meaning to them.
  • You can ask yourself while you’re in a state of meditation or while observing yourself. It might help to ask questions that can be answered with : yes, no, maybe, rephrase. More on this here.
  • You can use your intention and imagination. Even though you don’t see, your inner guidance will know where to go, what to do. ‘Know’ that you are visiting those places even if you don’t ‘see’ them or can’t picture them.
  • Use sounds, scents or touch for making associations.
  • Try and find out whatever works for you.

Good luck!
