How do we access our ‘inner well’ of youth? The ‘sacred breath’ and our ‘inner fire’, are they the same or different, from the ‘inner well’? Water, air and fire seem to be in this, so is there something to represent the other two elements (earth and spirit) too? Is unconditional love that something from spirit?
Dream
There are 4 young persons in a sort of therapy camp with strict rules. There are a quite a few group exercises, but there are also solo challenges. A lot of physical activity exercises.
One is particularly hard on their body, they’re pushing it to the limit. But at some point someone asks them : ‘how is the cancer?’ And they’re in denial, saying: ‘it doesn’t bother me, I’m not going to let that stop me’. When clearly they pushes themselves even more, to round the next obstacle.
It looks like they even add more challenge to it, like it was too easy for them before and they just decided to add an extra hard level by not using certain parts of the course anymore. They’re very athletic, but this obstacle course is very steep and difficult in level already. Still they keep on going. Until they’re called back for another part of the day program … or until their body gives up on them and crashes. [Fire]
The second young person does what they want, bending the rules as far as possible. Says: ‘the rules can’t stop me from doing what I want’. They keep seeing someone they like and they spend time together, despite the strict rules. They get caught. The other gets sent away, not to come back until the training period is over. And they both have to stick to even more strict rules. But they defy the rules and the rule-givers wherever they can. They know exactly where the camera’s or watchers are, so it’s quite easy for them. They’re very smart when it comes to those things. [Water]
The third person does a lot of legwork through the whole terrain. Like they’re determined to see every part of the terrain that they’re allowed to walk on. They stretch the rules too because of their adventurous nature. But they’re not looking to break any rules, just to discover and learn as much as they can. [Wind]
The fourth young person … I don’t know what their strategy is It’s probably dependent on the parcours. Trying to optimize themselves for every different challenge. Doing their best to be good at everything , taking part in everything, but struggling because of the constant adjustments and adaptations [Spirit?]
There’s little time to truly relax for all of them, but they all act like they don’t need that time anyway. They’re not bothered by it. This is just the way it is and they just have to deal with all of these rules and limitations. There’s not much they can do to change it anyway.
And then there was a fifth one, who couldn’t qualify for the ‘camp’, having to deal with all of their stuff, their issues, on their own, without any outside help or guidance. Without any outside laid on rules. They’re okay with doing the solo journey. But as the result of that they have difficulty optimizing their time and actions. There’s little structure to their day.
They rest whenever they feel like it, don’t go out much, unless they really need to. They choose not to overly exert themselves, so as to preserve their energy. Because they don’t seem to have a lot of it. They’re overwhelmed easily, not liking to be among a lot of people and crowded areas, but they have a strong urge to find out more about what there is to learn. About the meaning of life and about what and who they truly are. [Earth]
I guess these stories answer my last question too: “Is unconditional love the something from spirit?” There’s not one who experiences unconditional love yet. I guess this means it’s something you consciously and unconsciously need to seek out.
I haven’t experienced the ‘water’ and ‘wind’ much, except for when I was swept away by someone else’s influence. I have, however, been like ‘fire’ before. I unknowingly became so destructive for my body, twice even, so that it decided to stop me by giving up. I’m trying to become like ‘spirit’, but not necessarily wanting to go outside, or to be around many other people a lot. So that must be my earthiness part.
Unconditional love will center any type of person. The different traits will be balanced once all traits are combined, allowed as part of themselves. Unconditional love is needed for themselves as well as for others.
